Toothpaste or Toothpowder?

The toothpowder and toothpaste are both unique and amazing in their own ways :)

The Dirt toothpowder's main active ingredients are:

  • Bentonite Clay, which cleans and polishes

  • Baking soda, which polishes and freshens breath.

  • Myrrh, a super potent oral health anti-bacterial that has been proven to prevent all known dental diseases

  • Essential Oils of Cinnamon / Nutmeg / and Orange, which are all anti-bacterial AND the flavoring components.

The MCT Oil toothpaste's main active ingredients are:

  • Bentonite clay - which cleans and polishes

  • MCT Oil - which is anti-microbial

  • Essential Oils of Rose / Cacao / Mint / and Cinnamon (depending on flavor), which help to both flavor (all), freshen (mint), and remove bacteria (cinnamon)

The Toothpowder is vegan, while the toothpaste is not since we use some beeswax to help create the paste texture.

Other than that, the only major difference is the effects and flavoring of the essential oil profile and the baking soda in the powder.

Truth be told, the powder is the most effective of both due mostly to Myrrh, and a little bit because of the baking soda.

Also, the addition of MCT Oil in the paste is a great addition for oral health due to it's added anti-bacterial properties.

And Cacao naturally fights tooth decay thanks to a component called Theobromine.

That said, if you combine them, it'd be the best of both worlds!
